FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the platform

Who owns the copyright?

You do. Authors retain copyright and intellectual property rights to their work.

How does the Founding Author Program work?

AuthPlat operates as a publishing partner. We invest editorial expertise, publishing infrastructure, production support, and distribution capabilities into each project. Authors receive 70% of net royalties, and AuthPlat receives 30%. Our success is directly tied to the success of the book.

What happens if my book doesn't sell?

Like any publishing venture, success is never guaranteed. We invest significant time and resources into every project and are motivated to help each book reach the widest possible audience.

Do I need previous writing experience or an existing audience?

No. Many successful authors begin with deep subject-matter expertise rather than publishing experience. We help authors refine their positioning, structure their ideas, develop a manuscript, and prepare for publication. An existing audience can help accelerate sales, but it is not required.

How is AuthPlat different from traditional publishing?

Traditional publishers typically acquire rights, control the publishing process, and pay authors a royalty. AuthPlat is built around a publishing partnership model. Authors retain ownership of their work while receiving editorial guidance, production support, distribution assistance, and access to publishing technology throughout the process.

How much time should I expect to spend writing?

Most authors write alongside a full-time career. As a general guideline, many authors spend between 4–6 focused hours per week, although writing schedules vary significantly from author to author.

How long does it take to publish a book?

Most projects move from concept to publication in approximately 3–4 months, depending on the scope of the manuscript, the author's writing pace, and the publication schedule.

What happens after I apply?

Every application is reviewed individually. If there is a strong fit between the author, topic, and publishing goals, we will schedule a conversation to discuss the project in more detail. Founding Author positions are limited, and participation is by invitation.
